Question:
One quick question.. no matter the search being undertaken or the niche being searched GraphBeast
seems never to deliver more than the mid to late 4000's per group, why is this?
i.e I searched an FB group that I checked has 79,700 members, but GraphBeast returned just 4,700
members for this group? what's preventing it from returning all 79,700 members?
Answer:
There is a 5000 record limit set by Facebook/ Graph search. So for a single
search, 5000 is the limit.
The only way to get around this, is to perform many sub searches and combine
them.. (Passionate & Power Players in FBLC does this internally )
For e.g:
People who like Weight training - will yield a max of 5000 results.
But if we break it down further...
Search #1 - Single Men who like Weight training - (5000 max)
Search #2 - Single Women who like Weight training - (5000 max)
Search #3 - Married Women who like Weight training - (5000 max)
Search #4 - Married Men who like Weight training - (5000 max)
This way we can get about 20,000 results. This can be expanded further by
specifying countries.
